P136 Breast- Invasive ductal carcinoma

Invasive ductal carcinoma is cancer originating from cell lining of the milk ducts. Numerous risk factors are associated with breast cancer development including genetic mutation (BRCA1/2) or long-term increase estrogen exposure. Gross morphology shows visible mass protruding from surface of breast (A) with multiple skin retraction (B) and dimpling (peau de orange) (C). Cut surface shows 1-cm (D) and 4-cm (E) mass in diameter in breast with poorly defined border and fibrosis (F).
