Uterus Leiomyoma The specimen is a uterus with cervix. This is a common benign tumor of the uterus. The tumor originates from smooth muscle cells of the uterus. The cut surface shows a well circumscribed mass without fibrous capsule. The border of the mass is smooth and round. The cut surface of the mass is shown interlacing fiber with whirling appearance. This is a benign tumor of smooth muscle cell.
