SCPA437 Liver- Fatty change
คำอธิบายชิ้นเนื้อ
Liver-Fatty Change Fatty liver is characterized by greasy, bright yellowish discoloration of the enlarged organ with a smooth capsular surface. Fatty change (steatosis) is reversible and is a result of abnormal accumulation of triglycerides within the parenchymal cells. The causes of steatosis include alcohol, protein malnutrition, diabetes mellitus, obesity and toxins. Fatty change, as seen in this specimen, causes non-symptomatic enlargement of the organ.
